Factory Baker
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Factory Baker to join our bread production team in Nyandarua. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking bread to the required standards while ensuring proper hygiene, workplace safety, product consistency, and efficient production.
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Salary: KSh 25,000 – 30,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake bread in accordance with approved recipes and production specifications.
Accurately measure ingredients and carry out dough mixing, kneading, shaping, proofing, and baking.
Operate bakery machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain consistent quality across all bread products.
Monitor oven temperatures, baking durations, and ingredient consumption during production.
Keep the production area, machinery, tools, and equipment clean and properly maintained.
Follow established food hygiene, food safety, health, and workplace safety procedures.
Complete assigned production volumes within the required timelines.
Identify and report any production, equipment, or product-quality issues.
Work cooperatively with other bakery staff to maintain smooth and efficient production operations.
Requirements and Skills
At least 2 years of practical experience working as a baker, preferably within a commercial or industrial bakery.
Sound knowledge of bread preparation and commercial baking processes.
Ability to safely use and operate bakery machinery and production equipment.
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet set deadlines.
Physically fit, dependable, disciplined, and willing to work hard.
Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
Minimum Qualification
A Certificate in Baking, Food Production, Pastry, or a related area is an added advantage.
