Job Purpose
The Finance Manager is in charge of handling the daily financial activities of the organization.
They make sure that financial reports are accurate, internal controls are effective, compliance with laws is maintained, payroll is managed properly, and donor rules are followed.This role helps the organization run its programs smoothly by keeping good financial systems in place, keeping track of budgets, and giving management timely financial updates.

The Finance Manager works closely with the Head of Finance & Operations to create and follow financial policies, improve financial controls, and ensure that the organization follows all legal, donor, and regulatory standards.


Qualifications & Experience
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field is required.

A professional accounting qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA, CA, or an equivalent is necessary.

Membership with ICPAK is a plus.

At least eight years of progressive experience in finance, ideally in an NGO, INGO, or donor-funded setting.

Three years of experience leading a finance team.

Experience in managing and reporting on financial aspects of donor-funded projects.

Proficiency in accounting software and advanced use of Microsoft Excel.

Strong skills in financial management and accounting.

Good knowledge of Kenyan legal and tax requirements.

Understanding of donor financial rules and grant compliance.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
