Fund Accountant
Job Summary
The Fund Accountant will provide accounting support for investment funds, handling transaction processing, financial reporting, reconciliations, and preparation of supporting documentation. The position will work closely with clients, auditors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Process cash transactions and complete regular bank reconciliations.
Prepare and post journal entries accurately.
Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
Develop and organize accounting workpapers, checklists, and supporting schedules.
Prepare financial statements and related footnotes.
Compile and maintain partner capital account information.
Process investor capital calls and distributions.
Work directly with clients’ independent auditors and provide requested information and documentation.
Support other fund accounting and financial reporting activities as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or a related discipline.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to manage accounting records and supporting documentation effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Salary and Benefits
The position offers an annual salary of $60,000 to $70,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and level of experience.
Work Arrangement
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employees work on a hybrid schedule, with three days each week in the office and two days working remotely.
