Graphic Designer II

Pay Range: $57,200 – $76,300 per year

Position Overview
International Paper is seeking a Graphic Designer II to support the development of high-quality point-of-purchase display solutions for retail customers. The successful candidate will combine creative design skills with strong technical knowledge to produce 3D concepts, production-ready artwork, packaging graphics, physical prototypes, and print-ready files.
This position requires an understanding of graphic design standards, manufacturing requirements, and various printing processes. The Graphic Designer II will work both independently and collaboratively with sales representatives, structural designers, project managers, art leadership, fellow designers, and clients to ensure projects meet creative and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Create graphic concepts, 3D visualizations, production artwork, and physical or digital mockups for a variety of design assignments.
Prepare and thoroughly preflight artwork to ensure files meet print-production requirements.
Collaborate with sales teams, structural designers, project managers, art directors, and customers to understand project objectives and creative specifications.
Independently organize project workloads, manage deadlines, and complete assigned design work efficiently.
Deliver work that demonstrates creativity, accuracy, productivity, and strategic problem-solving.
Work through unclear or changing requirements and develop practical solutions to design and production challenges.
Keep up with developments in design software, production technology, and emerging industry tools.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
At least three years of experience in point-of-purchase graphic design.
Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong creative ability and enthusiasm for developing innovative design solutions.
Experience with FormZ, Strata, or a comparable 3D modeling program.
Solid understanding of offset lithography, flexographic, and digital printing processes, including the technical considerations required when preparing artwork for each method.
Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time-management abilities.
Comfortable handling several projects simultaneously while working within demanding deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take initiative.
Compensation
The anticipated annual salary for this position is $57,200 to $76,300. Final placement within the range will depend on factors such as an individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and abilities. The position is also eligible to participate in International Paper’s annual incentive program, which may provide additional compensation opportunities.
