Job Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking a creative and adaptable Graphic Designer to join its expanding marketing team in Sarasota, Florida. This opportunity is suited to a talented professional who enjoys a fast-moving environment, takes ownership of their work, and can consistently deliver high-quality visual materials under demanding deadlines.
The Graphic Designer will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other technical professionals while supporting a broad range of marketing and business development materials. The role requires strong design skills and the ability to follow both corporate and client branding requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design proposal and report covers, templates, page layouts, and supporting visual elements.
Develop presentations, multimedia content, and other visual communication materials.
Produce before-and-after photo renderings and aerial mapping exhibits.
Design brochures and promotional materials for both print and digital distribution.
Create graphics for trade shows and other marketing events.
Develop email marketing campaigns and social media visuals.
Manage large-format printing and related production activities.
Collaborate with a large and specialized marketing team on creative projects.
Work directly with engineers, project managers, and technical personnel to understand project requirements.
Ensure all creative work follows established corporate and client branding standards.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and consistent design quality.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite in a PC-based work environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional attitude with a positive, solutions-focused approach.
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple assignments with varying requirements.
Willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours or travel when business needs require it.
Advanced InDesign skills for producing complex, multi-page documents.
Experience with video production, editing, or motion graphics is an advantage.
Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, 3DS Max, or SketchUp is preferred.
Web design experience is beneficial, particularly with WordPress, HTML, and CSS.
Portfolio Requirement
