Position Overview

Apex is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Graphic Designer IV to join a web retail design team. The successful candidate will create polished, web-ready visual content while following established brand standards and style guidelines within a production-focused environment.

This role requires a combination of strong graphic design and web production knowledge, excellent typography skills, careful attention to detail, and effective project organization. The designer will manage multiple assignments simultaneously and communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce promotional graphics that maintain strong and consistent brand identities.

• Prepare and optimize digital imagery to ensure efficient file sizes and fast downloading.

• Develop practical graphic templates and contribute to the creation and maintenance of visual style guidelines.

• Handle several design requests at the same time while meeting established project deadlines.

• Apply existing brand and style standards consistently across web-based design projects.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project requirements, progress, and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• A professional online portfolio demonstrating relevant design work is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or a comparable field, or equivalent education and experience.

• At least four years of professional experience working in a web production environment.

• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.

• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.

• Experience with Dreamweaver and HTML/CSS.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Self-directed approach with the ability to work effectively without constant supervision.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience or skills would be advantageous:

• Knowledge of Flash and ActionScript.

• Previous experience designing for retail websites.

• Strong illustration capabilities.

Compensation

The anticipated compensation for this onsite position is $76 to $86 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on applicable factors and the terms of the engagement.
