Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the household, preparing meals, and providing general domestic assistance. The position requires someone dependable, discreet, organized, hardworking, and capable of maintaining a high standard of service within a private residence.
The ideal applicant should have strong cooking skills and be comfortable preparing different types of cuisine, including international, Middle Eastern, English, and American dishes. Previous experience working in a private home or similar domestic setting is highly desirable.
The successful candidate must be a Kenyan citizen with a valid passport and be prepared to relocate to Djibouti.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall organization of all areas within the household.
Prepare fresh and well-presented meals covering international, Middle Eastern, English, and American cuisines.
Plan daily meals according to household requirements and assist with grocery purchases.
Keep track of food and household supplies and communicate when items need to be replenished.
Wash, iron, fold, and properly arrange clothing, linens, and other household fabrics.
Assist with household errands, organization, and other reasonable domestic tasks as required.
Take proper care of household property, belongings, equipment, and personal items.
Maintain complete confidentiality regarding the family, their home, activities, and personal affairs.
Follow household instructions carefully while working independently and managing assigned duties efficiently.
Maintain a respectful, professional, and considerate attitude at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must be a Kenyan citizen and preferably hold a valid Kenyan passport.
Female candidates are preferred.
Must be willing and able to relocate to Djibouti.
Previous experience as a private housekeeper, domestic worker, household assistant, or in a similar position is required.
Demonstrated ability to prepare international and Middle Eastern dishes.
Experience preparing English and American cuisine will be an added advantage.
Must be honest, trustworthy, discreet, dependable, hardworking, and respectful.
Strong housekeeping and organizational abilities.
Good communication skills and the ability to interact appropriately within a private household.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions, and complete responsibilities independently.
