Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join its Housekeeping team.
About the Job
Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the daily activities of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring outstanding cleanliness, room presentation, guest satisfaction, and luxury service standards. The role involves leading, training, and supervising the housekeeping team while maintaining efficient departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, approve, and release guest rooms for arriving guests, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and attention to detail.
Carry out routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure Mandarin Oriental quality and service standards are consistently maintained.
Supervise daily housekeeping activities, including managing room statuses, coordinating maintenance requirements, and ensuring rooms are ready for guests.
Monitor housekeeping inventory, pantry stocks, and supplies to maintain efficient operations and responsible use of resources.
Lead, coach, train, and assess housekeeping employees while promoting high performance, adherence to standard operating procedures, and continuous development.
Create exceptional guest experiences by anticipating guest requirements, managing individual preferences, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Requirements
Senior School qualification or equivalent is required.
A degree or diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or Business Management is preferred.
At least 3 years of housekeeping experience within a luxury 5-star hotel environment.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory housekeeping role.
Pre-opening hotel experience and previous Middle East experience will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of housekeeping procedures, cleaning chemicals, equipment, and inventory control.
Proficiency in Actabl/Alice, HMS, IBS, Microsoft Office, Workday, and other relevant housekeeping management systems.
Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
Knowledge of additional languages, particularly Arabic, is an advantage.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities, with excellent attention to detail and professionalism.
Ability to remain flexible, adapt to changing operational requirements, and motivate and manage a diverse housekeeping team.
