Overview
The HR Intern will gain practical exposure to key human resource functions while supporting the HR team in day-to-day activities and organizational initiatives.
This position provides an opportunity to develop hands-on HR skills, learn workplace practices, and contribute to the effective delivery of HR services.
Key Responsibilities
Support recruitment activities by advertising vacancies, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and assisting with candidate communication.
Help facilitate the onboarding of new employees by preparing orientation resources and supporting induction activities.
Assist with employee relations matters, including updating personnel records, responding to employee queries, and supporting relevant disciplinary procedures.
Contribute to the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and workplace procedures.
Assist in coordinating employee training, learning, and professional development activities.
Provide support for HR initiatives such as performance management, employee engagement exercises, and diversity and inclusion programs.
Assist with employee benefits administration, including processing enrolment requests, updates, and related staff inquiries.
Research emerging HR practices and provide suggestions that can help improve departmental processes.
Perform routine HR administrative duties, including filing, data entry, document management, and updating HR information systems.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
Genuine interest in building a career within the human resources field.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to handle confidential employee information responsibly and maintain discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a busy work environment.
Previous HR internship or related work exposure will be an added advantage.
