Assistant HR Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant HR Manager to support the Human Resources Department and contribute to a positive workplace culture and the professional development of employees. The role requires a proactive individual who can support HR operations while maintaining high standards of service and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
Support the smooth running of the Human Resources Department and ensure HR responsibilities are managed effectively.
Review employee development, training, and succession plans and provide recommendations to improve performance and add value to employees and the organization.
Prepare operational staffing schedules and manning guides in coordination with the Human Resource Manager.
Stay familiar with regulations and talent guidelines issued by regional or corporate administration and ensure they are implemented appropriately.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date job descriptions are available for all functions and review them with relevant supervisors to align with operational requirements.
Handle job application correspondence and ensure proper responses, documentation, and filing of applications, adverts, and related records.
Initiate and follow up on annual performance evaluations for supervisory staff.
Support initiatives aimed at improving guest service and employee experience through a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, due diligence requirements, and best-practice activities.
Support the planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up of activities required for internal and external audits.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience in Human Resources with strong problem-solving abilities.
Strong leadership skills with a hands-on and lead-by-example approach.
Commitment to exceptional guest service and an interest in the hospitality industry.
Ability to develop creative solutions and provide sound advice and recommendations.
High level of personal integrity and the ability to work in a demanding environment.
Self-confidence, creativity, and a proactive approach to work.
Ability to prioritize tasks and make effective decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience
At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably as an Assistant HR Manager or HR Officer.
Professional HR certification.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
