HSE Manager
Job Purpose
The HSE Manager will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of health, safety, and environmental policies and programs across the organization. The role is responsible for minimizing workplace accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses while ensuring compliance with applicable safety and environmental requirements.
The position requires strong leadership, analytical ability, and effective collaboration with different departments to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the organization complies with applicable legislation, OSHA requirements, ISO standards, and other relevant HSE regulations.
Carry out routine HSE audits, workplace inspections, and safety drills to verify compliance with established procedures.
Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and establish appropriate measures to control identified risks.
Regularly review and revise risk assessments and ensure relevant safety measures are clearly communicated to employees and other stakeholders.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, prepare comprehensive reports, and recommend corrective measures to prevent similar occurrences.
Develop and conduct HSE training programs covering workplace hazards, safe work practices, and emergency response procedures.
Strengthen safety awareness throughout the organization through workshops, briefings, and ongoing communication.
Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response procedures covering fire emergencies, first aid, evacuation, and crisis situations.
Take a lead role during emergencies by coordinating internal response teams and working with relevant external authorities.
Assess safety performance and identify opportunities for improving workplace safety standards and procedures.
Ensure accidents, incidents, and workplace hazards are documented and reported to senior management accurately and within the required timelines.
Oversee security measures designed to safeguard employees, company property, assets, and facilities.
Manage security systems such as access control, CCTV surveillance, and alarm systems, ensuring they remain functional and are tested regularly.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline.
Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or an equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
At least 5–7 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles, preferably with previous management-level responsibility.
Demonstrated experience performing workplace risk assessments and implementing effective safety programs.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in regulatory compliance and incident investigations.
Experience designing and delivering HSE training programs.
