Interior Designer - Jobs In Kenya Today

Key Responsibilities

Manage interior design projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept development to final execution and handover.
Engage with clients to understand their objectives, preferences, functional requirements, and budget considerations.
Develop conceptual designs and prepare sketches, mood boards, renderings, or other visual presentations to effectively communicate design ideas and proposals.
Review completed projects to assess whether design objectives, client expectations, and quality standards have been successfully achieved.
Advise clients on the selection of materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, color schemes, and decorative elements to create cohesive and functional spaces.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure design specifications are implemented accurately.
Monitor project progress and provide design guidance throughout the execution phase to maintain design integrity.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, or a related field.
Demonstrated portfolio showcasing completed design projects and creative capabilities.
Experience managing design projects, including planning, coordination, and execution.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with computational and digital design methodologies will be an added advantage.
Strong creativity, artistic flair, and imagination, coupled with a meticulous eye for detail.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, SketchUp, or equivalent design and visualization tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and present design concepts and creative ideas to clients and stakeholders.
