Job Description
Reporting to the Cluster Hotel Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the hotel’s IT operations and ensuring that technology supports the needs of the business. The role involves working closely with Hotel General Managers, EXCOM members, Heads of Departments, employees, business partners, hardware partners, and software providers.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations and Business Support
• Manage the day-to-day IT operations of the hotels.
• Maintain effective working relationships with Hotel General Managers, EXCOM members, Heads of Departments, and other business-critical users.
• Understand the technology requirements of different hotel departments and provide appropriate IT support.
• Ensure that IT services and systems support the smooth operation of the hotels.
IT Planning, Budgeting and Reporting
• Take responsibility for the business planning and budgeting of IT expenditure for the hotels.
• Ensure that IT spending complies with Accor IT policies and guidelines.
• Prepare business cases to justify proposed IT investments and expenditures and support the relevant approval process.
• Provide regular updates on the hotel’s IT situation to the Cluster General Manager and the VP IT / Cluster Hotel Manager.
• Ensure that management has an accurate understanding of the current IT environment and any relevant issues.
IT Projects and Strategic Support
• Initiate and manage IT projects within the hotels.
• Coordinate IT projects and ensure that the required technology-related activities are properly managed.
• Provide advice to the Cluster General Manager on strategic IT matters affecting the hotel.
• Support the alignment of technology requirements with the strategic direction of the hotels.
Hardware Management
• Ensure that the hotel works with Accor-approved hardware partners.
• Maintain good working relationships with hardware partners.
• Support the hotel in resolving hardware-related problems by escalating issues to the appropriate hardware partners.
• Follow up with hardware partners to support the resolution of reported issues.
Hardware covered under this responsibility includes:
• Computers
• Servers
• Routers
• Switches
• Cables
• PABX systems
• Monitors and screens
• Point of Sale devices
• Relevant interfaces
• UPS and related devices
• Other active technology components
IT Policies and Compliance
• Ensure that all applicable Accor IT policies and guidelines are implemented and followed within the hotel.
• Monitor the hotel’s IT environment to ensure that technology operations remain compliant with the required policies and guidelines.
• Ensure that IT practices within the hotel are consistent with the requirements established by Accor IT management.
Software Management
• Ensure that only original and properly licensed application programs are installed and operating on hotel systems and computers.
• Ensure that software use complies with IT management policies and requirements.
• Maintain good relationships with software providers.
• Support the hotel in resolving software-related problems by escalating issues to the appropriate software providers.
• Ensure that employees only have access to programs that are necessary for them to perform their jobs.
• Manage access to applications in accordance with the requirements of the hotel and IT management.
IT Training
• Develop and maintain an IT training programme in coordination with the Learning & Development department.
• Ensure that employees have the knowledge and skills required to use the hotel’s IT systems effectively.
• Support employees in achieving the best possible understanding and use of the systems available to them.
• Coordinate IT training activities with the Learning & Development department.
IT Security and Data Protection
• Ensure that the hotel complies with the Accor IT Security Policy and General Data Protection requirements.
• Maintain the required level of security across the hotel’s IT systems.
• Ensure that relevant security policies and requirements are consistently followed.
• Take responsibility for backing up all relevant user-generated data.
• Ensure that appropriate backup arrangements cover data within the general system as well as personal systems.
• Ensure that backup policies are properly followed at all times.
• Maintain the highest possible level of system security in accordance with the applicable requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar IT role.
• Experience within a five-star hotel environment is preferred.
• Strong strategic thinking and a results-driven approach.
• Process-oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Ability to provide clear direction, development, and guidance to team members.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Positive influence when working with colleagues and stakeholders.

Additional Information
Physical Requirements
The position involves several physical activities as part of the normal working environment. These include:
• Frequent standing and walking throughout the work shift.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling.
• Occasional pushing and pulling.
• Occasional lifting.
The successful candidate should be able to perform these physical activities as required while carrying out the responsibilities of the position.
