IT Supervisor
Compensation
Fixed monthly salary of AED 2,600, inclusive of accommodation.
Role Overview
The IT Supervisor will oversee technology support and infrastructure within a high-volume hospitality environment in the UAE. The role combines hands-on technical troubleshooting with team supervision, network management, IT security, project coordination, and technology improvement to ensure reliable systems and a high-quality experience for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to staff and guests, resolving hardware, software, connectivity, and other IT-related issues.
Diagnose and address technical problems promptly to minimise interruptions to hotel operations.
Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, servers, switches, routers, and other IT equipment.
Monitor wired and wireless networks to maintain reliable connectivity, performance, and security.
Implement network protection measures and conduct regular security checks to safeguard systems and information.
Work with vendors and external service providers to resolve connectivity, hardware, software, and infrastructure issues.
Manage support requests, maintain accurate records of reported problems, and document solutions provided.
Carry out routine system backups and support disaster recovery arrangements to ensure business continuity.
Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, software licences, warranties, and other technology assets.
Support technology projects by helping define requirements, prepare plans, coordinate resources, and monitor delivery against agreed milestones.
Research emerging technologies and recommend suitable solutions that can improve IT operations and user experience.
Provide regular project and operational updates to the Head of Department.
Enforce IT security policies and procedures designed to protect systems and data from unauthorised access, malware, and other threats.
Train employees on appropriate data security, privacy, and technology usage practices.
Keep up to date with developments in IT, cybersecurity, and relevant industry standards, recommending improvements where appropriate.
Ensure all assigned duties are performed in accordance with established SOPs, service standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
Promote continuous improvement and effective collaboration across the IT function.
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling guest, employee, business, and system information.
Qualifications and Experience
6–8 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume environment within the UAE, preferably in a specialised IT role.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is an advantage.
Proven experience working as an IT Specialist, IT Supervisor, or in a comparable position within the hotel or hospitality sector.
Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, hardware, software, and IT infrastructure.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently.
Experience with hotel-specific applications and Property Management Systems is an added advantage.
Proven project management experience with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are desirable.
Good understanding of applicable industry regulations and IT security practices.
Strong organisational, leadership, and supervisory capabilities.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Fluent spoken and written English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
Proactive approach with strong attention to detail and a practical, hands-on attitude.
Ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities and develop creative solutions to operational challenges.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to customer satisfaction and business profitability through effective IT support.
