About the Position
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Information Technology Associate to support the daily operation, maintenance, and enhancement of our organization's technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will play an essential role in ensuring that computer systems, communication equipment, and network resources function efficiently while delivering timely technical support to both employees and guests.
This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to resolve technical challenges, and a commitment to maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing IT systems. Working closely with other departments, the IT Associate will help improve operational efficiency by supporting hardware, software, telecommunications, and technology-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
As an Information Technology Associate, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining a wide range of IT equipment and systems. You will coordinate technology installations, upgrades, relocations, and modifications to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Coordinate system upgrades, equipment replacements, and technology improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
Monitor IT infrastructure and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computers, operating systems, software applications, printers, and network connectivity.
Provide technical assistance to guests experiencing internet access or technology-related challenges.
Operate and manage computer systems by entering commands, monitoring system performance, and activating necessary controls.
Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment, devices, accessories, and software licenses.
Support the operation and maintenance of PBX telephone systems, switchboards, and associated communication hardware.
Ensure that server rooms, computer rooms, and telephone equipment areas remain secure, with access restricted to authorized personnel.
Document technical issues, maintenance activities, and system updates for future reference and reporting.
Recommend practical improvements that enhance technology performance, reduce downtime, and improve service delivery.
Assist in implementing technology policies and best practices that promote information security and operational continuity.
Compliance and Workplace Standards
The successful candidate will consistently follow organizational policies, procedures, and safety requirements while maintaining the highest professional standards.
Key expectations include:
Observe all workplace health and safety regulations.
Report accidents, incidents, equipment failures, and unsafe conditions promptly to management.
Complete all required training and compliance certifications.
Maintain confidentiality when handling organizational information and sensitive data.
Protect company assets by ensuring technology equipment is used responsibly and securely.
Follow established procedures for data protection and information security.
Customer Service and Team Collaboration
Providing exceptional customer support is an important aspect of this role. The IT Associate will interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and management while delivering prompt and effective technical assistance.
Responsibilities include:
Respond to technical support requests in a courteous and professional manner.
Answer telephone calls using appropriate communication etiquette.
Anticipate user needs and provide timely solutions to technology-related concerns.

Operational Excellence

Additional responsibilities include:
Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements where appropriate.
Assist with implementing new technologies that improve organizational efficiency.
Verify information accuracy and inspect IT equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Utilize computer systems and Point of Sale (POS) platforms when required.
Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors in support of business operations.
Qualifications
Education
Applicants should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields:
Computer Engineering
Information Technology
Computer Science
Information Systems
Telecommunications
A related technical discipline
Experience
Candidates should have:
A minimum of one year of practical experience in an Information Technology support or technical services role.
Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, networking, and communication systems.
Knowledge of operating systems, office productivity software, and network technologies.
Familiarity with PBX telephone systems and IT asset management is an advantage.
