Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain digital solutions, information systems, and related IT infrastructure to ensure efficient and secure operations.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies on data protection, confidentiality, information security, and ethical handling of data.
Maintain high standards of data quality through effective data management, reporting, and quality assurance processes.
Provide technical support, user training, and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen staff competencies in digital systems and IT tools.
Promote knowledge management, documentation, and information sharing to improve operational efficiency and collaboration.
Represent the organization in relevant technical forums, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and support networking initiatives.
Support the development and implementation of organizational structures, systems, and technology solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or another related computer-based discipline.
Professional certification in network administration, server administration, or a related IT field will be an added advantage.
Experience
A minimum of five years of proven experience in Information Technology, systems administration, or other technical support functions.
At least two years of experience in information management within humanitarian, protection, or development programmes, or in IT management.
Languages
Fluency in both written and spoken English.
Working knowledge of Swahili is required.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
Advanced knowledge of the latest Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 (Office 365) business applications.
Experience with SharePoint administration and collaboration tools will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V.
Practical knowledge of network administration, including Local Area Networks (LAN), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN), network policies, and communication protocols.
Experience administering file servers and managing enterprise storage solutions.
Familiarity with Fortinet networking and security solutions will be considered an added advantage.
Good understanding of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint network architectures.
Knowledge of computer hardware maintenance, IT security best practices, and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and tools.
Basic understanding of radio telecommunications technologies, including HF, VHF, GSM, and satellite communication systems.
Strong facilitation, user training, technical support, and capacity-building skills.
