Position Overview
The Endpoint Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise IT infrastructure and endpoint environments across the organization. This role plays a key part in ensuring the stability, security, availability, and performance of critical technology systems while providing technical leadership and guidance to Endpoint and Systems Administration teams.
The successful candidate will lead and contribute to multiple infrastructure projects, oversee system implementation initiatives, and help develop technology solutions that align with business objectives. Responsibilities include designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing server environments, storage platforms, backup systems, and supporting technologies to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
The role requires strong expertise in enterprise technologies, including Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization platforms such as VMware, and core network services such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. The Endpoint Engineer will also be responsible for managing user access controls, security tools, system monitoring, and backup and recovery processes to maintain a secure and resilient computing environment.
In addition, the position involves diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure-related issues involving hardware, software, and basic networking components. The incumbent will investigate system incidents, identify root causes, implement corrective measures, and support business continuity efforts through disaster recovery planning and execution.
The Endpoint Engineer will contribute to maintaining round-the-clock operational support, coordinate disaster recovery activities, and oversee off-site backup and storage procedures to ensure critical data and systems remain protected and recoverable.
Success in this position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as the role involves close collaboration with internal users, technical teams, and external vendors. The ability to provide technical guidance, user support, and knowledge-sharing while maintaining a customer-focused approach is essential.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of five years of practical experience managing and supporting enterprise server environments and large-scale IT infrastructure.
At least five years of experience in the design, deployment, configuration, and optimization of server hardware, operating systems, and supporting infrastructure components.
Between five and seven years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, with significant exposure to endpoint management, systems administration, and enterprise computing environments.
