IT Manager
Job Overview
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the IT Manager will oversee the hotel’s technology operations, ensuring reliable systems, responsive technical support, and minimal disruption to daily activities. The role will also coordinate with the Regional IT Team on brand standards, compliance requirements, and system updates.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day activities of the hotel’s IT function and ensure dependable technical support across all departments.
Coordinate with the Regional IT Team on brand-related technology requirements, compliance matters, and system upgrades.
Act as the main escalation point for technical concerns raised by hotel employees and guests, ensuring issues are addressed quickly and effectively.
Protect the guest experience by resolving technology-related disruptions with minimal impact on hotel operations.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of IT infrastructure, network equipment, systems, and hospitality technology.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and other technical issues affecting hotel operations.
Maintain and support hospitality applications and technology platforms used across the property.
Keep complete and up-to-date records of IT hardware, software licences, manuals, equipment, and other technology assets.
Ensure IT documentation and asset records are maintained to support compliance requirements and audit readiness.
Work independently on assigned IT responsibilities while providing effective coordination and support to the IT Coordinator.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
2–3 years of IT experience in the hospitality industry.
Hands-on experience with Property Management Systems, particularly OPERA Cloud.
Practical knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems such as MICROS Simphony Cloud.
Experience working with Aruba networking technologies and PBX systems.
Ability to organise competing priorities and manage several responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Strong service orientation with a proactive and solution-focused approach to technical challenges.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with people across different departments.
Ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with the IT Coordinator.
