IVF OT Nurse

Role Overview

We are seeking a competent and compassionate IVF Operating Theatre Nurse to join our fertility care team. The successful candidate will support patients and clinical teams throughout assisted reproductive procedures while maintaining high standards of safety, infection prevention, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance during oocyte pick-up (OPU), embryo transfer, and other fertility-related procedures.

• Prepare patients, the operating theatre, instruments, and other equipment required for procedures.

• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.

• Monitor patients before and after procedures and promptly report any concerns or changes in their condition.

• Verify patient identity and ensure accurate completion of clinical documentation.

• Handle and hand over patient specimens appropriately in accordance with established procedures.

• Assist with emergency response, patient stabilization, and post-procedure recovery care.

• Work closely with doctors, embryologists, nurses, and other members of the fertility team to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current and valid professional registration.

• At least 2 years of nursing or operating theatre experience.

• Previous experience in IVF, fertility care, or gynaecology will be an added advantage.

• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and commitment to patient-centred care.
