Position Overview
The Kitchen Support Specialist contributes to the efficient operation of various hospitality functions by providing administrative, operational, and service support across multiple departments, including the kitchen, food and beverage outlets, and employee dining facilities. The role requires flexibility to assist where needed while ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to company standards.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and updating electronic and physical records, entering and retrieving information from organizational databases, and utilizing standard office equipment to support departmental activities. The incumbent may also prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, presentations, and other business documents while ensuring proper organization and maintenance of filing systems.
The role involves compiling, sorting, copying, and managing records related to operational and administrative activities. Accurate data entry and effective use of computer systems are essential to support workflow efficiency and record management.
Operational and Service Responsibilities
Comply with all organizational policies, safety regulations, and security procedures.
Promptly report maintenance concerns, workplace incidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
Complete all mandatory safety training and certification requirements.
Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to grooming and uniform standards.
Protect confidential information and safeguard company property and assets.
Deliver courteous and professional service by welcoming and assisting guests in accordance with established hospitality standards.
Communicate clearly and effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
Foster positive working relationships and collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Consistently meet established quality, service, and operational standards.
Perform duties that require prolonged standing, walking, or sitting, as well as frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds (approximately 11 kilograms) without assistance.
Undertake additional responsibilities as reasonably assigned by supervisors or management.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Food and Beverage Management, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of three to four years of relevant work experience in a comparable position.
Previous experience within a hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment is highly preferred.
Exposure to operations within a four-star or five-star establishment will be considered a strong advantage.
