Assistant Lecturer - Physical Therapy
Minimum Requirements – Lecturer (Nursing) – 2 Positions
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing from a recognized and accredited university.
A Master's degree in Nursing from a recognized and accredited university.
At least three (3) years of teaching and research experience at a university as a Tutorial Fellow, Assistant Lecturer, or in a comparable position.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, with at least sixteen (16) obtained from peer-reviewed journal articles.
A valid practicing license issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Evidence of commitment to teaching, research, innovation, mentorship, and community service.
Minimum Requirements – Assistant Lecturer (Nursing) – 2 Positions
Applicants must have:
A Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Nursing from recognized and accredited universities.
Registration or eligibility for registration in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Nursing or a related discipline at a recognized university.
A valid annual practicing license issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Evidence demonstrating potential in university teaching, research, and scholarly publishing.
Minimum Requirements – Assistant Lecturer (Physical Therapy)
Applicants must have:
A Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from recognized and accredited universities.
Registration or eligibility for registration in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Physical Therapy or a related discipline at a recognized university.
A valid annual practicing license issued by the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
Proficiency in computer applications.
Evidence of potential to undertake university teaching, research, and scholarly publication.
Application Procedure
Applications should include a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), certified copies of academic and professional certificates, a National Identity Card or Passport, testimonials, email addresses, telephone contacts, and any other relevant supporting documents.
Applicants are required to provide the names, telephone numbers, and contact details of three (3) referees. Referees should submit confidential recommendation letters to recruitmentjuly2026@au.ac.ke or address them to the undersigned so that they are received on or before 14 August 2026.
Candidates should submit five (5) hard copies of their application by registered mail or courier, clearly indicating the relevant reference number. In addition, one combined PDF version of the application should be emailed to recruitmentjuly2026@au.ac.ke.
Applicants holding qualifications obtained outside Kenya must ensure their certificates are recognized by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
Successful applicants will be required to present valid clearance certificates from the following institutions:
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Certificate of Good Conduct)
A registered Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
