Position Summary
As a Logistics Manager in MSF's Dagahaley project, you will oversee logistics operations that are essential to supporting humanitarian healthcare services. You will lead a multidisciplinary logistics team, ensuring the efficient coordination of personnel, transport, supplies, infrastructure, and technical resources. Working alongside the Logistics Team Leader and project management, you will help strengthen operational systems and ensure the timely delivery of quality medical assistance to refugee and host communities.
Educational Requirements
Applicants should possess:
A secondary school certificate accompanied by a technical diploma, or
A university degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or another relevant technical discipline.
Professional Experience
Candidates should have:
At least two years of experience managing logistics operations.
Previous experience with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) or another humanitarian organization, which is considered an added advantage.
Experience working in remote, challenging, or humanitarian operational settings, which is desirable.
Language Requirements
Proficiency in English is mandatory.
Knowledge of Somali and/or Swahili is considered an asset.
Technical Skills
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Practical knowledge of logistics planning and supply chain management.
Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Experience supervising and supporting teams.
