Senior Marketing Manager Job Description
1. Job Summary
The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, brand positioning, and market expansion across the organization's product portfolio. The role provides strategic leadership in commercial marketing, go-to-market (GTM) planning, demand generation, budget management, and product positioning while ensuring alignment with business objectives and revenue targets.
The successful candidate will lead marketing initiatives for multiple product lines, oversee marketing budgets, mentor marketing team members, and collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Admissions, Customer Experience (CX), and Digital Marketing teams. The position requires strong commercial acumen, leadership capabilities, analytical skills, and the ability to translate customer insights into successful marketing strategies that generate measurable business results.
2. Key Duties and Responsibilities
2.1 Marketing Strategy and Commercial Leadership
The successful candidate will:
Develop and implement annual and quarterly marketing strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
Lead the marketing function for assigned product portfolios.
Translate organizational goals into actionable marketing initiatives.
Support pricing, revenue growth, and commercial planning decisions.
Present marketing performance, growth opportunities, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Drive continuous improvement in marketing performance and commercial effectiveness.
2.2 Team Leadership and Development
The Senior Marketing Manager will:
Lead, mentor, and develop Product Marketing Managers and other marketing team members.
Set performance objectives and monitor individual and team performance.

The Senior Marketing Manager will:

2.11 Reporting and Performance Analysis
The Senior Marketing Manager will:
Monitor key marketing performance indicators.
Prepare monthly and quarterly marketing performance reports.
Analyze customer acquisition costs and campaign effectiveness.

Recommend improvements based on marketing analytics.
Ensure data-driven decision-making across marketing initiatives.

The employee will:
Work closely with Product, Sales, Admissions, Customer Experience, Finance, and Digital Marketing teams.

3. Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Communications, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a related postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Professional certification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Brand Management, or Product Marketing will be an added advantage.
4. Work Experience
The ideal candidate should have:
A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in marketing, product marketing, growth marketing, or commercial marketing.
At least two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a leadership or people management role.
Proven experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
Demonstrated success in customer acquisition and demand generation.
Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring campaign return on investment.
Experience in EdTech, FinTech, E-commerce, Technology, SaaS, or a similar industry will be an added advantage.
Experience working across both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) marketing environments.
