Role Overview

The successful candidate will support children in a safe, structured, and engaging school environment while planning learning experiences that support their social, physical, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment where children feel comfortable.

• Plan activities that support the social, physical, and emotional needs of the children.

• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in accordance with the school curriculum.

• Organize stimulating learning activities for the class.

• Prepare teaching aids and other materials to support learning.

• Design games and activities and provide appropriate play equipment.

• Ensure play areas and equipment remain clean and safe.

• Supervise children during learning and play.

• Observe individual progress and prepare written reports for the Principal, school leaders, and parents.

• Maintain records of children's development and progress.

• Help new and arriving children settle into the school environment and select activities of interest.

• Establish and enforce classroom behaviour rules and procedures.

• Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, guest visits, and other experiential learning activities.

• Assist with bus loading and unloading.

• Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.

Requirements

• TSC certification.

• Degree in Education.

• 1–2 years of teaching experience.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in uncertain or complex situations.

• Proactive approach to identifying problems and finding appropriate solutions.

• Openness to feedback and willingness to challenge yourself within the organization’s culture.
