Mechanic

Job Description

The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing vehicles and equipment while ensuring that all maintenance work is completed safely and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems affecting vehicles and equipment and carry out the necessary repairs.

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

• Inspect and test repaired systems to confirm that they are functioning correctly.

• Keep accurate records of completed work, parts used and vehicle or equipment service history.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

• Follow appropriate safety practices when handling tools, equipment and vehicles.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 3 years of proven experience working as a mechanic.

• Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Mechanics or a related field is an added advantage.

• Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment.

• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

• A valid driving licence is an added advantage.
