Job Summary
The Sales & Marketing Coordinator supports guest enquiries, reservations, loyalty programme requests, and general sales and marketing administration. The role focuses on providing efficient guest service while using appropriate sales techniques to increase revenue and strengthen customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with Sales, Data Administration, Accounting, and other relevant departments to resolve guest calls, requests, and concerns.
Apply effective sales techniques, including upselling, to increase revenue while maintaining guest loyalty to Marriott.
Provide appropriate complimentary rewards to guests in recognition of their patronage, such as loyalty points, show tickets, or gift certificates.
Promote awareness and understanding of the hotel’s brand image both internally and externally.
Process requests relating to the redemption of Marriott Rewards points.
Handle reservation bookings, amendments, and cancellations received through telephone, fax, or mail.
Enter and update Marriott Rewards information in the appropriate systems when processing reservations.
Receive, document, and respond to guest calls, questions, requests, and concerns.
Carry out general administrative duties supporting the Sales & Marketing function, including filing, emailing, typing, and faxing.
Assist management with employee training and motivation while setting a positive example for colleagues.
Follow all company policies and procedures and maintain a clean, professional appearance and uniform.
Protect confidential company information and safeguard company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge guests according to established standards.
Anticipate guest requirements, respond to service needs, and show genuine appreciation to guests.
Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, colleagues, and other contacts.
Prepare and review written documents carefully, ensuring information is accurate and complete.
Answer telephone calls professionally and follow appropriate telephone etiquette.
Build positive working relationships and support colleagues in achieving shared objectives.
Listen to employees’ concerns and respond appropriately.
Monitor the performance of other team members to ensure established quality standards are maintained.
Read and visually verify information presented in different formats.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and position items weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
Perform other reasonable duties assigned by Supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 2 years.
Supervisory Experience: Not required.
License or Certification: None required.
