Role Overview
Rapiscan is seeking an experienced Network / IT Engineer to provide technical support and maintain the IT infrastructure behind its X-ray inspection systems. The position involves working with servers, networks, and other systems that support essential airport operations.
The successful candidate will collaborate with Service and Engineering teams, external vendors, customers, and project stakeholders to ensure reliable and effective operation of the relevant IT infrastructure and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, and support servers, networks, and associated IT infrastructure.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot technical problems, and respond to system incidents.
Support the operation of X-ray inspection systems while ensuring appropriate performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, UPS systems, and data communication circuits.
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for upgrades and improvements.
Provide technical support for system integration, commissioning, upgrades, and migration activities.
Keep technical and service documentation accurate, complete, and current.
Provide technical advice and assistance to service teams.
Maintain effective communication with customers, project stakeholders, and other relevant parties.

Conduct all activities in accordance with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
Report quality issues, defects, or other problems to the relevant manager or a member of senior management so that corrective action can be taken and recurrence can be prevented.
Qualifications and Requirements
Strong practical experience working with Windows Server and workstation environments.
Solid experience configuring and supporting servers and networks is essential.
Good knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and routing.
Experience with Linux or Unix administration would be an advantage.
Experience using virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Exposure to PLC programming or industrial systems would be beneficial.
Experience in X-ray, security, or industrial systems is highly desirable.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation abilities.
Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security pass.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call periods.
Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Industry-recognized IT certifications, such as Microsoft or Cisco qualifications, are desirable.
