Part-Time Tutor – Mental Health Nursing
Job Purpose
The Part-Time Tutor will deliver effective teaching and assessment in Mental Health Nursing through lectures, seminars, practical guidance, and student supervision. The role will contribute to curriculum development, assessment planning, student support, and the achievement of the Institute’s academic goals while maintaining productive relationships with relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct lectures, seminars, examinations, and student supervision within the assigned area of nursing.
Contribute to the development and review of syllabuses, learning materials, assessment approaches, marking guidelines, and teaching strategies.
Monitor students’ academic progress and provide appropriate guidance and support throughout their training.
Assess student performance, maintain accurate academic records, and develop interventions where additional support is required.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Undertake other relevant duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) or an equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Higher Diploma in Nursing or a Master’s degree in Nursing is an added advantage.
At least 3 years of professional experience in Mental Health Nursing.
Current registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Valid Nursing Council of Kenya practising licence.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
Part-Time Tutor – Medical Surgical Nursing
Job Purpose
The Part-Time Tutor will provide quality instruction and assessment in Medical Surgical Nursing through classroom teaching, seminars, and student supervision. The position will also support curriculum development, student evaluation, learning strategies, and academic guidance to promote successful student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Teach and examine assigned courses through lectures, seminars, and student supervision.
Contribute to the preparation and improvement of syllabuses, learning resources, assessment methods, marking guidelines, and teaching strategies.
Monitor students’ progress and provide academic advice and support to help them achieve their training objectives.
Assess and document student performance and develop appropriate action plans when necessary.
Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Perform other duties assigned by the institution.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Higher Diploma in Nursing or a Master’s degree in Medical Surgical Nursing is an added advantage.

Part-Time Tutor – Community Health Nursing
Job Purpose
The Part-Time Tutor will facilitate teaching, assessment, and supervision in Community Health Nursing while contributing to curriculum development and student support. The role will help create effective learning strategies and maintain positive relationships with academic and professional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver lectures, seminars, examinations, and student supervision in the assigned area.
Assist in developing appropriate syllabuses, learning materials, assessment frameworks, marking guidelines, and teaching approaches.
Track student performance and provide academic guidance throughout the training period.
Evaluate learners’ academic progress, document findings, and introduce appropriate support measures where required.
Maintain productive relationships and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent from an institution recognized by the Nursing Council of Kenya.

Job Purpose
The Part-Time Tutor will provide instruction, assessment, and academic supervision in Midwifery and Reproductive Health Nursing. The position will also contribute to curriculum development, student evaluation, learning support, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct lectures, seminars, examinations, and student supervision.
Participate in the preparation and review of syllabuses, learning resources, assessment procedures, marking guidelines, and teaching strategies.
Monitor learners’ progress and provide appropriate academic support and guidance.
