Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Red Seal Plumbing Specialist to support a large-scale high-rise residential development in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance of a wide range of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, firefighting, irrigation, swimming pool, and other specialized water infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.

• Install hot and cold water distribution systems, as well as drainage, soil, waste, and vent pipe networks.

• Fit and connect sanitary ware, pumps, storage tanks, filtration units, and pressure booster systems.

• Carry out underground drainage installations and other specialized plumbing works.

• Install irrigation systems, wet risers, sprinkler networks, jacuzzi piping, and swimming pool plumbing systems.

• Perform pressure tests, drainage tests, and commissioning activities to verify system functionality and compliance.

• Ensure all plumbing works comply with applicable British Standards, local regulations, and OSHA health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Red Seal Plumbing Certification.

• Minimum of five years’ experience working on high-rise buildings or commercial construction projects.

• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and coordination with other MEP disciplines.

• Previous experience with firefighting systems and specialized water installations is highly desirable.

• Exposure to international construction projects will be an added advantage.
