Procurement Controller at M-KOPA Solar
About this role
Procurement & Supply Chain Professional
This is a role for someone who knows procurement beyond purchase orders and supplier follow-ups.
You’ll be trusted to take ownership of complex sourcing activity, influence commercial decisions, and deliver procurement projects across a range of categories — from capital expenditure and construction to facilities, technology, logistics, and retail expansion.
What will set you up for success
You’ll bring substantial progressive experience across procurement and supply chain, with practical exposure to areas such as:
Strategic sourcing and category management.
Supplier relationship management.
End-to-end procurement projects involving multiple business functions.
CapEx, construction, facilities, technology, logistics, or retail expansion.
Commercial negotiations and supplier performance management.
Commercial thinking will be central to the role. You should be comfortable using spend analysis, supplier benchmarking, market intelligence, and Total Cost of Ownership modelling to evaluate options and make decisions that deliver measurable value.
Professional procurement qualifications such as CIPS or KISM are relevant, while progress toward MCIPS would be an advantage.
The way you work matters
You’ll have considerable independence and will be expected to manage several sourcing initiatives simultaneously without losing sight of deadlines, commercial outcomes, or stakeholder requirements.
Experience working with ERP and eProcurement platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or Ariba will be valuable.
Your academic background may include Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Ultimately, however, the strongest indicator will be the results you have delivered in previous procurement roles.
A role with real demands
Expect competing priorities.
Some assignments will involve high-value capital projects with firm delivery dates. Others may require you to move quickly across entirely different procurement categories.
You’ll also need to influence people you don't directly manage, build productive relationships with internal stakeholders, and negotiate effectively with suppliers whose priorities may not always match yours.
If you’re comfortable taking ownership, making commercially sound decisions, and being accountable for outcomes rather than simply following instructions, this role offers the level of responsibility to match that experience.
