Duty Station

The position is based at the Nairobi Head Office and will require regular travel to project locations, supplier facilities, manufacturing plants, and international markets whenever necessary.

Job Purpose

The Procurement and Commercial Manager will provide strategic leadership for the end-to-end procurement function, overseeing the sourcing of goods, construction materials, subcontracted works, plant, equipment, and specialized services for large-scale housing projects. The role is responsible for securing cost-effective, high-quality, and technically compliant procurement solutions that support timely project execution, business expansion, and overall commercial competitiveness.

In addition, the position will provide commercial and technical sales support by translating customer requirements into practical procurement strategies and value-driven delivery solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, Commercial Management, or a related field.

• Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSP, or KISM.

• Project Management certification will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 12 to 15 years of progressive experience in procurement and commercial management.

• At least seven years in a senior procurement or commercial leadership position.

• Proven experience managing procurement activities for large-scale construction and housing development projects.

• Demonstrated expertise in international sourcing, procurement of subcontracted works, technical sales, solution selling, and EPC or design-build project environments.

• Strong track record of managing procurement portfolios or annual expenditure valued between USD 20 million and USD 100 million or more.
