Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is looking for a Procurement Assistant.This role involves making sure pharmaceutical products are bought on time and at a good cost, while keeping the right amount of stock available.The person will help keep the pharmacy running smoothly by ensuring all products are always available, managing suppliers, following rules and regulations, and helping make the procurement and inventory processes work well.
Key Responsibilities
Make sure the pharmacy always has all the products it needs by keeping them in stock.
Keep track of inventory to avoid running out of stock, having too much, or products going bad.
Work with the Payables Accountant to handle the process of getting products and paying for them.
Set up procurement rules to save money and use resources well.
Team up with the procurement team to help reach the company's goals.
Help the Procurement Manager with finding new suppliers, managing relationships with existing ones, and negotiating contracts.
Make sure all purchasing activities follow pharmaceutical rules and company policies.
Work closely with the pharmacy and inventory teams to improve how well services are delivered and how the business runs.
Take part in selecting and assessing suppliers, and in bidding processes.
Check how well suppliers are doing and make sure they deliver quality products on time.
Academic & Experience Qualification
A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Procurement and Logistics.
Extra qualifications in Supply Chain Management are a bonus.
At least 1-2 years of experience in procurement within healthcare or pharmaceutical settings.
Knowledge of procurement rules and healthcare compliance standards.
Good communication and people skills.
Strong ability to organize and manage time well.
Skilled in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to work well with different teams across the organization.
