Job Purpose:

The Company Procurement Manager will oversee the strategic planning and implementation of centralized procurement operations for Braeburn Schools Limited, including both local and international sourcing activities. The role is focused on ensuring value for money, maintaining quality standards, and promoting compliance with procurement policies and regulations. In addition, the position is responsible for directly handling company-wide procurement functions while providing guidance and oversight for procurement processes carried out at individual school levels.

The manager will also build and maintain strong working relationships with both local and overseas suppliers, coordinate import and logistics processes, and promote ethical, transparent, and accountable procurement practices throughout the organization.

Academic Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

  • Professional certification in Purchasing and Supplies Management such as CIPS or KISM.

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in procurement management, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership position.

  • Proven experience in leadership and management training programs.

  • Practical experience in international trade and logistics management.

  • Strong understanding of modern procurement and sourcing practices, including knowledge of local markets and global trade procedures.

  • Excellent negotiation, contract administration, and supplier relationship management skills, with experience handling both local and international suppliers.

  • Demonstrated capability in managing import logistics processes and coordinating local vendor relationships.

  • Strong financial management and analytical abilities.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

  • Previous experience within the education sector will be an added advantage.

  • Good understanding of Kenyan procurement laws and importation regulations.
