Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with partners in the strategic implementation, expansion, and assessment of the Global Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) Fund. This includes monitoring progress, analyzing information, preparing reports, and developing materials and meeting documents for Fund management.
Manage assigned tasks and contribute to other adaptation-focused projects and programmes when required.
Conduct research, compile relevant information, and prepare documents supporting adaptation programmes, policies, and normative initiatives.
Assist in coordinating technical meetings by preparing agendas, speaking points, background materials, and participant lists.
Gather and analyze data to identify patterns and trends, presenting findings through graphs, charts, tables, and reports using appropriate data visualization techniques to support planning, decision-making, presentations, and reporting.
Undertake any other duties assigned as part of the role.
Education
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in environmental management, climate change, environmental sciences, or a related field is required.
A first-level university degree combined with an additional two years of qualifying professional experience may be accepted instead of an advanced degree.
Completion of degree or non-degree programmes in data analytics, business analytics, or data science is desirable.
Work Experience
At least five years of relevant and progressively responsible professional experience in climate change, adaptation, ecosystems, environmental work, or a related area is required.
A minimum of two years’ experience providing technical contributions and strategic guidance in the delivery of climate change adaptation projects is required.
At least two years’ experience managing project budgets of USD 10 million or more is required.
Previous experience working with the United Nations, another intergovernmental organisation, or a comparable international institution is desirable.
At least three years’ experience in monitoring and analysis, preparing technical and meeting reports, developing supporting documentation, and taking responsibility for meeting planning within an international setting is desirable.
Two or more years of experience in data analytics or a related field is desirable.
