About this role
Project Coordinator (Master Trainer) Job Opportunity
An opportunity is available for a Project Coordinator (Master Trainer) to provide technical leadership in the delivery of the NYOTA Business Development Services (BDS) package for refugee youth. The position focuses on ensuring that entrepreneurship and business development training is practical, inclusive, relevant to the operating environment, and delivered according to the required programme standards.
The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting trainers, strengthening training quality, coordinating Training of Trainers activities, and ensuring that programme results are properly documented. The position also involves working closely with mentors, programme teams, partners, government stakeholders, and other relevant organizations.
The overall goal is to help young people in refugee settings establish, strengthen, and sustain viable businesses while improving their employability, entrepreneurial abilities, and economic resilience.
Leading NYOTA BDS Delivery
The Project Coordinator will take responsibility for coordinating the delivery of approved NYOTA BDS activities within the assigned locations.
This includes ensuring that the approved curriculum is delivered consistently and according to the required methodology, standards, schedules, and MSEA requirements.
The Coordinator will also facilitate practical and participant-centred learning sessions. Training should not simply focus on theory. Examples, exercises, and case studies will need to reflect local market realities and the circumstances of refugee and host communities.
The Coordinator will also consider participants' literacy levels, language, abilities, and different learning requirements when supporting the delivery of training.
Building Practical Business Skills
A major focus of the programme is helping participants develop skills that can be applied directly to business activities.
The Coordinator will deliver and reinforce areas such as financial literacy, record keeping, marketing, customer relations, business planning, digital tools, and market access.
Alongside these technical areas, the training will also address entrepreneurial and socio-emotional skills. These include initiative, resilience, communication, teamwork, goal setting, and problem solving.
The Coordinator will help connect classroom learning with the real situations participants face in their businesses or business ideas.
This may include providing technical guidance on enterprise development, identifying markets, addressing business challenges, and connecting participants with relevant market, value-chain, financial, and business networks.
Training and Supporting Trainers
As a Master Trainer, the Coordinator will have an important responsibility for strengthening the capacity of other trainers.
The role includes leading or supporting approved Training of Trainers programmes. This will involve assessing whether trainers are ready to deliver the required content and observing their training sessions.
Following these observations, the Coordinator will provide structured feedback and coaching. Where gaps are identified in training delivery, the Coordinator will work with trainers to address them and improve their performance.
The position therefore requires strong technical knowledge combined with the ability to guide, coach, and support other people involved in programme delivery.
Quality Assurance
Maintaining consistent training quality across different locations is another major responsibility.
The Coordinator will conduct routine quality assurance of BDS sessions, training materials, attendance records, trainer deployment, and participant engagement.
Any gaps identified during these reviews should be followed up so that the required standards are maintained.
The Coordinator will also review training methodologies and delivery approaches to determine whether they are achieving the intended results.
The emphasis will be on ensuring that participants receive a consistent and useful learning experience regardless of where the training is delivered.
Learning From Participants and Trainers
The position includes an important monitoring and learning component.
The Coordinator will collect feedback from both participants and trainers and analyse the information gathered. This feedback, together with lessons from programme implementation, will be used to identify areas where BDS delivery can be improved.
The Coordinator will document lessons learned, successful practices, implementation challenges, and recommendations.
These findings will support programme learning, adaptation, and reporting and can help the programme respond to changing needs within the operating environment.
Working With Mentors
The Coordinator will work closely with mentors to ensure that mentorship complements the BDS curriculum.
Mentorship should respond to the actual business needs of participants and reinforce the knowledge and skills developed during training.
The Coordinator may provide technical guidance, support referrals, and contribute to structured follow-up after training has been completed.
This connection between training and continued support is intended to help participants apply what they have learned to their businesses and business ideas.
Monitoring and Documentation
Accurate documentation will be an important part of the position.
The Project Coordinator will maintain training records, attendance information, and other required programme data. Training and progress reports must also be prepared and submitted within the agreed timelines.
The role requires attention to detail because programme information needs to be properly recorded and available for monitoring and reporting purposes.
The Coordinator will also contribute to broader programme monitoring, learning, and quality improvement by documenting relevant experiences and recommendations.
Inclusion, Safeguarding and Protection
The Coordinator will be expected to promote safe and inclusive learning throughout the NYOTA BDS programme.
Training approaches should be gender-responsive, disability-inclusive, culturally appropriate, and safe for participants.
The role also requires attention to safeguarding, protection, PSEA, accountability, and Safe and Inclusive Programming principles throughout programme delivery.
Appropriate confidential feedback and referral mechanisms should be applied where required.
The Coordinator must therefore ensure that participants can engage with the programme in an environment that respects their different needs and circumstances.
Working With Stakeholders
Effective coordination will be essential to the position.
The Coordinator will work closely with the NYOTA Team Lead or Manager, BDS Officers, trainers, mentors, and other programme teams.
The position will also involve engagement with MSEA and relevant government, UN, NGO, private-sector, and community stakeholders when required.
The Coordinator will support collaboration between the different parties involved in implementation and help ensure that programme activities are delivered effectively.
The role may also involve supporting business information activities, networking opportunities, and market-linkage activities as assigned.
Compliance With Programme Requirements
The Project Coordinator will be expected to comply with NRC policies, guidance, and procedures.
There will also be specific responsibility for following the policies and procedures related to the functions of the position.
The Coordinator will work under the overall supervision of the Task Team Leader and in close coordination with MSEA and other relevant stakeholders.
The position is expected to contribute to the achievement of project objectives, quality service delivery, and measurable programme results.
Other duties may also be assigned by the line manager according to programme requirements.

Familiarity with these refugee settings would be useful for a position that requires training approaches to respond to the realities and needs of refugee and host communities.
The candidate should be able to adapt learning approaches to different participant circumstances while maintaining the required programme standards.
