Requirements

Certification in Psychiatry with a valid and active professional license.
A minimum of two years’ post-residency clinical experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting, providing psychotherapy and/or counselling interventions.
At least six months of recent clinical practice within the last two years.
Demonstrated experience managing mental health conditions related to at least two of the following areas:
- HIV/AIDS
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Sexual and gender-based violence
- Trauma-related conditions
- Tuberculosis (TB)
Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or training staff within multicultural or multidisciplinary teams.
Expert-level proficiency in English.
Fluency in French is highly desirable, while knowledge of additional languages such as Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese will be considered an advantage.
Relevant experience working or travelling in environments similar to those where humanitarian organizations operate, including conflict zones, disaster settings, public health emergencies, or areas with limited access to healthcare services.
Strong command of written and spoken English.
Availability to participate in international assignments for a period of between six and twelve months.

Desirable Experience

Experience working with refugees, migrants, and/or internally displaced populations.
Background in delivering short-term therapeutic interventions.
Experience providing mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children.
Practical experience conducting individual, family, and group counselling sessions.
Involvement in community-based psychosocial support initiatives or trauma-focused mental health programs.
Ability to adapt established therapeutic approaches to suit different cultural and local contexts.
Experience providing adherence counselling and patient education for individuals living with chronic health conditions.
