About the Role
Our client is looking for a Quality Control Analyst to strengthen quality assurance within a busy production setting. You will test construction materials, run inspections both in the lab and out in the field, study technical specifications, and confirm that every product hits the mark on quality, safety, and industry compliance. The right person is meticulous, technically capable, and brings solid hands-on experience in materials testing and quality oversight, ideally from a manufacturing or construction background.
Monthly gross salary: KSH 70,000 – 90,000 (approximately 541 USD)
What you will do
• Inspect and test construction materials such as concrete, cement, steel, and other raw inputs through laboratory and on-site testing to confirm strength, durability, safety, and compliance with set quality standards.
• Watch production lines closely and apply quality control protocols so that output consistently matches approved specifications, industry norms, and regulatory demands.
• Study engineering drawings, project plans, specifications, and relevant standards to set and confirm the required quality benchmarks.
• Record, review, and interpret test outcomes, inspection observations, deviations, and non-conformities, then produce precise quality control reports that include practical recommendations.
• Spot defects and quality gaps, dig into root causes, and propose fitting corrective and preventive measures.
• Work closely with engineers, production crews, and project managers to fix quality problems and help refine production and quality workflows over time.
• Look after QC testing equipment, making sure it stays calibrated, functional, and properly documented, while observing all applicable safety and quality rules.
What you need to bring
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent, relevant qualification.
• Recent and relevant experience in quality control, preferably within manufacturing or construction.
• Direct, practical experience testing construction materials, with particular focus on concrete, cement, steel, and other raw materials.
• Understanding of quality control procedures, construction and civil engineering standards, safety regulations, and laboratory testing methods.
• Solid skills in MS Excel, technical report writing, and quality control documentation, backed by strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with QC testing equipment, engineering drawings, CAD, ERP, or quality management systems will be a strong advantage.
