To help provide top-quality, patient-focused care, we are looking for a motivated, forward-thinking, and results-driven Radiologist.This role involves reviewing, interpreting, and reporting medical images to ensure accurate diagnosis based on patients' test results, following established guidelines and the Hospital's patient care standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Combine imaging results with patient history and clinical information to evaluate the suitability of procedures and support accurate diagnosis.
- Ensure all procedures are performed safely, efficiently, and in line with clinical guidelines, radiation safety standards, and infection control procedures.
- Provide complete care before and after procedures, including getting informed consent, explaining potential risks and benefits, handling complications, and organizing follow-up care.
- Keep detailed, timely, and compliant records of all procedures, diagnostic outcomes, and patient interactions within the Hospital Management System (HMS).
- Promote quality by working with other doctors to enhance diagnostic investigations.
- Support the use of imaging methods that are both effective and cost-efficient, reducing patient anxiety and discomfort during radiology procedures.
- Stay updated with professional development through ongoing education, case evaluations, and training in new techniques and technologies.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold an MBCHB or MD degree from a recognized institution.
- Have an MMed (Radiology) from a recognized institution.
- Be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Possess a valid practice license and specialist recognition.
- Have professional insurance coverage.
- Have at least two years of experience after completing a Master's degree.
DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Show strong skills in advanced imaging methods such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.
- Be skilled in using advanced interventional tools and image-guided technologies.
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
