Relationship Manager – Wealth Management
About the Role
The Relationship Manager serves as the main point of contact for clients seeking access to Deutsche Bank Wealth Management's full range of wealth management products and services. Working closely with Investment Managers, the role focuses on developing and maintaining high-value client relationships, attracting new clients and assets, and expanding existing business relationships while delivering a consistently high standard of client service.
Key Responsibilities
Build, develop, and maintain relationships with High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients.
Grow assets under management and wallet share through effective business development, sales, and relationship management strategies.
Take responsibility for generating Net New Assets and revenue across the assigned client portfolio in an efficient and scalable manner.
Balance client servicing, prospect development, investment growth, regulatory and administrative requirements, and professional development.
Manage available resources, including time and budgets, to maximize business performance.
Recommend appropriate investment products and services based on each client's financial objectives, resources, investment horizon, risk profile, and preferences.
Conduct regular portfolio reviews to ensure investments remain aligned with client objectives and risk tolerance.
Work alongside Investment Managers to understand and manage clients' financial goals and risk preferences, assess market conditions, share the bank's investment views, and discuss suitable asset allocation strategies.
Explain how different investment options may support or affect clients' financial objectives.
Serve as the Accountable Client Owner and oversee AML responsibilities associated with client relationships, including KYC requirements and monitoring account activity.
Maintain appropriate relationships with management and escalate matters requiring supervisory review, attention, or approval.
Collaborate with coverage teams, product specialists, and support functions to deliver Deutsche Bank's overall value proposition to clients.
Leverage opportunities across other Deutsche Bank divisions where appropriate to meet client requirements.
Support business growth strategies, new products, services, and initiatives while contributing to overall team performance.
Participate in appropriate client events, public relations activities, and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Master's degree, preferably with a background in Finance.
CFA or MBA qualification is desirable.
Fluency in English is required.
10–12 years of relevant industry experience.
Strong investment knowledge and proven understanding of financial markets.
Established client network within the target coverage market.
Good knowledge of the applicable regulatory framework.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities.
Client-focused and solution-oriented with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
High level of professional integrity.
Strong resource management and allocation skills.
Willingness and ability to support the development of other team members.
