Job Purpose
The Teacher will be responsible for delivering a high-quality 21st Century learning experience that inspires students to achieve academic excellence, develop critical thinking skills, and become future innovators and leaders. The role involves creating a safe, engaging, and student-centered learning environment while implementing the school's curriculum, monitoring student progress, and fostering the holistic development of every learner.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Deliver engaging, learner-centered lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
Develop and implement lesson plans and schemes of work that meet curriculum requirements and learning objectives.
Prepare learning materials and teaching resources to support effective classroom instruction.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Create interactive learning experiences that encourage participation and critical thinking.
Foster curiosity, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills among learners.
Promote academic excellence through effective classroom instruction and learner support.
Integrate technology into teaching and learning activities where appropriate.
Ensure lessons are aligned with educational standards and best teaching practices.
Curriculum Planning & Development
Develop, review, and update schemes of work and lesson plans in collaboration with the Curriculum Development Manager.
Participate in curriculum review and enhancement initiatives.
Ensure curriculum delivery remains relevant, engaging, and effective.
Contribute ideas for improving learning experiences and instructional methods.
Support the development of innovative learning programs and activities.
Ensure lesson objectives and outcomes are clearly defined and measurable.
Align instructional plans with school goals and educational standards.
Assessment & Student Evaluation
Develop and administer assessments as required.
Prepare tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
Assess and evaluate student performance accurately and fairly.
Monitor academic progress and identify areas requiring improvement.
Maintain accurate assessment records and learner performance data.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
Support learners in achieving their academic goals through targeted interventions.
Analyze assessment results and adjust teaching approaches where necessary.
Student Development & Welfare
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Promote students' social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
Support learners in developing confidence, self-discipline, and positive behavior.
Encourage respect, responsibility, and good citizenship among students.
Identify and support students experiencing academic or personal challenges.

Act as a positive role model for students.
Support the development of leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Classroom Management
Establish and enforce classroom rules, policies, and behavioral expectations.
Maintain discipline and order while creating a positive learning atmosphere.
Manage classroom resources and equipment effectively.
Ensure students use learning materials and equipment responsibly.
Promote respectful interactions among students.
Address behavioral issues promptly and professionally.
Create a classroom environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
Creative & Experiential Learning
Organize and facilitate activities that promote physical, mental, emotional, and social development.
Lead educational games, storytelling sessions, arts and crafts activities, music programs, and creative projects.
Plan and supervise experiential learning opportunities.
Organize educational trips, guest visits, and project-based learning activities.
Encourage learners to explore, discover, and innovate through hands-on experiences.
Support creative expression and imagination among students.
Monitoring & Reporting
Observe and monitor student progress and development continuously.
Maintain detailed records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior.
Prepare student progress reports and performance summaries.
Provide written reports to school leadership and parents as required.
Communicate learner progress and concerns effectively to parents and guardians.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings and academic review sessions.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of student information.
School Operations & Student Supervision
Assist students during arrival, dismissal, and transition periods.
Support bus loading and unloading activities when required.
Supervise students during breaks, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
Ensure student safety during school events and educational trips.
Support implementation of school policies and operational procedures.
Participate in school events, functions, and community engagement activities.
Professional Development
Attend professional meetings, workshops, conferences, and training sessions.
Stay informed about current educational trends and best teaching practices.
Participate in continuous professional development programs.
Share knowledge and collaborate with fellow educators.
Seek opportunities to improve instructional skills and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications
Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Education from a recognized institution.
Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Certificate.
Additional certifications in education, curriculum development, or child development will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of three (3) years' teaching experience.
Experience delivering curriculum-based instruction in a school environment.
Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively and achieve positive learning outcomes.
Experience using technology in teaching and learning processes is desirable.
Exposure to modern, student-centered teaching methodologies is advantageous.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including:
