Your Role
As a Restaurant Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming first impression while supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant. You will interact closely with guests, colleagues and other departments to maintain the expected service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Follow established standard operating procedures and departmental guidelines to maintain consistent service quality.
Manage restaurant reservations and make appropriate arrangements for guests with special requests.
Allocate tables according to the reservation schedule and monitor the performance of assigned team members.
Welcome and greet guests in accordance with voco service standards.
Escort guests to their tables, explain buffet arrangements and assist with recommendations on food and beverage selections.
Support efforts to increase restaurant revenue through active social media promotion and engagement.
Complete daily restaurant preparation tasks, including buffet labels, menu printing and other required administrative duties.
Assist with the proper ordering, storage and responsible use of restaurant equipment, supplies and operating materials.
Participate in daily team briefings covering preparation, service procedures and menu information.
Coordinate with relevant support departments to address daily operational and quality requirements.
Complete other reasonable duties assigned by management as required.
Participate in hotel training programmes covering areas such as food safety, fire safety, hygiene, health and workplace safety.
Requirements
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar restaurant host/hostess position.
Strong communication skills with excellent spoken English.
Friendly, confident and naturally outgoing personality with a genuine commitment to delivering excellent guest service and voco standards.
Strong team-working ability and a flexible approach to handling different responsibilities.
Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
