Job Summary
The Registered Nurse will provide compassionate, safe, and high-quality nursing care designed to support patient recovery and overall well-being. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, carrying out clinical procedures, implementing individualized care plans, and working closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach. The ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment, prioritize competing needs, and maintain high standards of care is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Follow hospital and departmental policies, procedures, safety requirements, risk management practices, and applicable regulatory standards.
Stay informed about changes, developments, trends, and regulations relevant to assigned responsibilities.
Administer medications through prescribed routes, including topical, oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intravenous methods.
Monitor, oversee, and accurately document medication administration in accordance with provider orders and hospital guidelines.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral, emotional, developmental, and spiritual needs.
Gather and document information necessary to develop and deliver appropriate patient care.
Develop and implement individualized nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
Continuously evaluate patient responses and modify care as appropriate.
Provide holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing services within the established scope of practice.
Develop care plans based on both initial and ongoing patient assessments.
Prepare patients for discharge and assist with arranging appropriate follow-up and post-discharge services.
Use available communication resources and tools to promote clear and effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
Demonstrate awareness of how cultural backgrounds may influence communication, collaboration, treatment, and healthcare delivery.
Apply appropriate knowledge and skills when caring for the specific patient populations served by the department.
Promote patient safety and contribute to a professional environment focused on quality care and positive outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State upon hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
At least one year of relevant professional experience in an acute care environment.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $47.86 to $90.42 per hour. Actual compensation may vary depending on relevant qualifications, experience, and other applicable factors.
