Sales Agent
Role Overview
The Sales Agent will work remotely on a full-time basis, focusing on marketing and selling dSchool’s educational software products to individuals, schools, churches, and other potential partner organisations. The position involves generating and assessing leads, explaining product benefits, conducting demonstrations through online platforms or phone calls, and following up with prospects to convert opportunities into sales.
The successful candidate will respond promptly to customer enquiries, deliver professional support, and develop positive relationships with both new and existing clients. The Sales Agent will also work closely with training and support teams to help customers understand and use the solutions effectively. Feedback gathered from customers and the market will be shared to support improvements in products, services, and sales approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Identify potential customers and generate new sales opportunities across individual, education, faith-based, and community markets.
Qualify leads to determine customer needs and suitability of the available solutions.
Explain product features, benefits, and value propositions to prospective customers.
Conduct product demonstrations through telephone calls, video meetings, and other digital platforms.
Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and guide them through the sales process toward conversion.
Respond to customer questions and provide timely, professional assistance.
Build and maintain productive relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Work with training and technical support teams to ensure customers receive appropriate assistance and understand how to use the products.
Record customer interactions, leads, sales activities, and follow-ups using appropriate CRM and digital tools.
Provide market feedback and customer insights that can contribute to product development and improved sales strategies.
Manage daily activities, priorities, and sales targets effectively while working independently.
Qualifications and Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with different types of customers and stakeholders.
Good customer service and relationship management capabilities.
Demonstrated sales ability, including prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, follow-up, and closing.
Previous exposure to software, educational technology, or similar products is an advantage.
Experience or knowledge of the insurance sector is beneficial, particularly where it involves selling solutions to families, schools, or community-based organisations.
Strong presentation and training abilities, with confidence in demonstrating products and explaining their use.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while consistently meeting sales goals and deadlines.
Comfortable using CRM platforms, digital sales tools, online meeting applications, and other communication technologies.
Experience in education, edtech, community engagement, or outreach will be an added advantage.
Post-secondary education in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related area, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
