About the Role
Elastic is looking for a Solutions Architect to act as a technical expert and trusted advisor for customers, partners, sales teams, and the wider Elastic community. The role combines technical presales, customer engagement, solution architecture, partner enablement, and sales support.
The successful candidate will understand customer challenges, design appropriate solutions using Elastic technologies, support sales opportunities through to technical closure, and contribute to the continued growth of technical and commercial capabilities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned accounts and territory sales teams.
Develop a strong understanding of customer objectives, challenges, and business priorities and demonstrate how Elastic solutions can address them.
Establish trusted, value-focused relationships with stakeholders across different levels of customer organizations.
Participate throughout the sales process, from initial discovery and solution planning through to achieving the technical win.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Elastic products and solutions and demonstrate their capabilities during customer meetings, conferences, meetups, and other industry events.
Provide technical and strategic guidance to sales teams on positioning Elastic products, services, and solutions effectively.
Support the onboarding, education, and enablement of partners and assist them during customer sales engagements.
Develop technical materials, sales collateral, and other resources tailored to customer requirements.
Work with internal teams to address customer needs and communicate product gaps, enhancement requests, and market feedback to engineering and leadership.
Represent the interests and feedback of customers and the broader technical community within Elastic.
Continuously strengthen technical, architectural, and sales capabilities through self-directed learning and available professional development opportunities.
Engage with the regional Elastic community through relevant events, programs, and initiatives.
Required Experience and Skills
Demonstrated success in an enterprise-level technical presales position.
Practical experience selling and implementing technology solutions and establishing credibility with enterprise customers.
Ability to clearly communicate the business value of modern software platforms and technologies.
Strong curiosity and commitment to continuous professional development.
Proven ability to understand customer requirements and develop architectures that solve business challenges, address technical problems, or create competitive advantages.
Strong influencing and persuasion skills, with the ability to gain support for technologies, solutions, and architectural approaches.
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to engage and inspire both small groups and large audiences.
Strong customer relationship and communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively with sales, engineering, partners, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Willingness to travel approximately 30% within the assigned region, with occasional international travel.
