Position Summary
The Social Media and Video Content Officer is responsible for growing KKCO East Africa’s online visibility through the creation and management of compelling digital content. The role focuses heavily on producing high-quality video content while supporting the firm's communication, marketing and business-development objectives. Working closely with internal teams, the successful candidate will transform technical information, events, client engagements and professional expertise into content that strengthens the firm's brand, increases audience engagement and generates business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Video Content Production
Plan, film, edit and publish professional video content for a variety of digital platforms.
Produce both short-form and long-form videos tailored for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and other relevant channels.
Edit webinars, interviews, client success stories, training sessions, event coverage and leadership content into engaging visual stories.
Create reels, promotional videos, explainers, advertisements and other multimedia content for digital campaigns.
Enhance videos by incorporating captions, subtitles, animations, branded graphics, transitions, music and voiceovers where appropriate.
Repurpose lengthy presentations and webinars into concise clips suitable for social media.
Improve the quality of recorded footage through effective editing, audio enhancement and visual refinement.
Maintain an organised archive of raw footage, project files, templates and approved final content.
Ensure every video produced reflects KKCO's visual identity and professional standards.
Social Media Management
Develop and manage a structured content calendar that aligns with marketing priorities and business objectives.
Publish and schedule content across the firm's approved social media platforms.
Write engaging captions, campaign messages, headlines and effective calls to action.
Monitor online interactions, respond to enquiries where appropriate and escalate issues when necessary.
Maintain a regular posting schedule to support consistent audience engagement.
Tailor content to suit the style, audience and technical requirements of each social media platform.
Support initiatives aimed at increasing audience growth, engagement levels and qualified business enquiries.
Creative Design and Content Development
Design visually appealing social media graphics, carousel posts, banners, digital advertisements and promotional materials.
Translate complex topics relating to tax, audit, advisory, governance and finance into content that is informative, engaging and easy to understand.
Collaborate with technical teams to create educational content, thought leadership pieces and professional insights.
Produce promotional materials for webinars, workshops, training programmes and corporate events.
Develop reusable creative templates that maintain a consistent visual identity across all communications.
Source or create images, graphics and other visual assets that enhance content quality.
Verify that all content is accurate, professionally presented and approved before publication.
Marketing Campaigns and Event Coverage
Support the promotion of the firm's services, events, webinars and learning programmes through digital channels.
Capture high-quality photographs and videos during corporate events, client engagements and internal activities.
Produce content before, during and after events to maximise visibility and audience engagement.
Create testimonial videos, speaker highlights and event recap content.
Assist with integrated email and social media campaigns designed to increase registrations, enquiries and lead generation.
Coordinate content requirements with facilitators, speakers, partners and internal stakeholders.
Digital Marketing Support
Develop content that contributes directly to business-development initiatives and client acquisition efforts.
Create compelling calls to action that encourage service enquiries, registrations and consultation requests.
Support approved paid social media campaigns and promotional activities.
Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements based on results.
Track digital enquiries and leads generated through online marketing activities.
Work closely with the business-development team to align content initiatives with sales opportunities.
Analytics and Performance Reporting
Monitor key performance indicators including audience growth, engagement, impressions, reach, video performance and conversions.
Prepare regular reports summarising campaign outcomes and social media performance.
Analyse audience behaviour to identify the most effective content formats, themes and distribution channels.
Recommend improvements based on platform analytics, campaign insights and emerging trends.
Maintain accurate records of published content and campaign performance for future reference.
Monitor competitor activity and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
Brand Stewardship
Ensure all published content consistently reflects KKCO's brand identity and corporate image.
Maintain high standards of professionalism across every communication produced.
Safeguard confidential information and obtain all necessary approvals before publishing client-related content.
Ensure appropriate licensing and usage rights for photographs, music, graphics and other digital assets.
Review all content for accuracy, grammar, spelling and overall presentation before publication.
Support the ongoing refinement and implementation of the firm's digital branding standards.
Collaboration and Coordination
Work closely with partners, managers, technical specialists and the business-development team on content planning and execution.
Participate in planning sessions to identify upcoming campaigns, events and communication opportunities.
Provide guidance to presenters and colleagues on basic video recording techniques and content preparation.
Follow up with contributors to ensure content is submitted within agreed timelines.
Maintain a content management tracker to monitor assignments, approvals, publication schedules and project progress.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Media Studies, Film Production, Public Relations, Graphic Design or a related discipline.
A minimum of two years' experience in social media management, digital content creation or video production.
Strong video editing skills using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut or similar editing software.
Experience managing social media platforms for an organisation or commercial brand.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging digital content.
A portfolio showcasing previous work in video production, social media management and digital content creation is required.
