Social Media Moderator

Key Responsibilities

Publish Facebook updates, trending stories, and breaking news across the company’s social media platforms.
Monitor, manage, and respond to messages received through TUKO’s social media inboxes and direct messages.
Engage readers in the comments of high-performing Facebook posts by responding to comments and encouraging further interaction through relevant questions.
Manage reviews, recommendations, and community posts on TUKO’s Facebook pages.
Moderate user comments and feedback on the TUKO App through the Google Play Store.
Distribute posts and other content requests provided by the marketing team and project leads.
Participate in and execute special projects assigned by the company.
Monitor and moderate comments posted on the TUKO website.
Carry out other responsibilities assigned as part of the role.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms for digital news or media organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communication, Journalism, or a related field.
Good understanding of social media publishing and content management.
Strong copywriting skills.
Ability to use visual content editing tools such as Figma and Canva.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving environment while meeting strict deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong interviewing ability.
Willingness to take initiative and go beyond basic responsibilities when required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working remotely with reliable internet access and a laptop meeting the required specifications, with a minimum Intel Core i3 processor.
