Job Overview
The Software Developer–Analyst supports program data and analytics by designing, implementing, and maintaining digital solutions that improve data collection, management, and reporting. The role contributes to the development and ongoing support of the organization's global technology platforms, including applications built with CommCare, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Azure SQL Server data warehouse solutions.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across different locations, the successful candidate will help enhance data systems, streamline business processes, and support the successful implementation of technology solutions used for monitoring, evaluation, and program performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, configure, and maintain data platforms and digital applications that support program implementation and reporting.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and second-level help desk assistance for data and analytics systems.
Configure and enhance applications and dashboards to meet evolving program requirements.
Support users by resolving technical issues and escalating complex cases when necessary.
Contribute to the implementation of standards for data quality, information security, system configuration, and operational processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve digital tools and ensure reliable data management across programs.
Assist in the rollout and continuous improvement of technology solutions that strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and organizational learning.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
A minimum of five years of professional experience developing and implementing technology solutions for program data management and analytics.
At least three years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting CommCare applications and Microsoft Power BI dashboards for large-scale or complex programs.
Experience working with monitoring and evaluation (M&E) technologies and digital solutions used in public sector or development programs.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical documentation and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a systems-oriented approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive working relationships with colleagues across different departments and organizational levels.
