Role Description

The Storekeeper will work on a full-time, on-site basis in Nairobi.
Handle the daily receipt, unloading, and storage of materials and products while ensuring proper documentation and safe handling procedures.
Arrange, pack, and organize stock appropriately to maintain product condition and make effective use of available storage space.
Maintain accurate inventory records in the relevant system and carry out regular stock counts to reconcile physical stock with recorded quantities.
Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure supplies are available when needed.
Ensure proper stock rotation and compliance with hygiene, safety, and halal requirements within storage areas.
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when required, following appropriate safety procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and order within the store.
Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, shortages, and other inventory-related issues promptly.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of inventory control and stock management, including tracking, record keeping, and reconciliation.
Practical ability to pack and arrange goods while protecting product quality and optimizing storage space.
Hands-on experience with unloading and safe handling of materials.
Ability to operate forklifts or other relevant material-handling equipment with proper attention to safety.
Previous experience in warehousing, storekeeping, or logistics, preferably in the food or manufacturing industry.
Good attention to detail and basic numerical skills.
Familiarity with inventory management software or ERP systems.
Ability to follow hygiene, safety, and halal-compliance procedures.
Ability to work effectively with procurement, production, logistics, and other teams.
A relevant vocational qualification or certificate in storekeeping or warehouse operations is beneficial.
Knowledge of ISO or similar standards is an added advantage.
