About the Role
Our client in the tourism industry is seeking a motivated and experienced Travel Consultant to join their team. This mid-level position is ideal for a professional with 2–3 years of industry experience who is looking to advance their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to broaden their expertise while contributing to the delivery of exceptional travel services.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate travel quotations and manage itinerary amendments, cancellations, and other booking changes.
Process airline reservations, ticketing, and related travel bookings using the Galileo/Travelport Global Distribution System (GDS).
Ensure all travel documentation, including visas, travel insurance, permits, contracts, and other required documents, is complete and accurate.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with key travel partners, including airlines, hotels, tour operators, transport providers, guides, and other industry stakeholders.
Maintain accurate booking records and update internal systems to ensure timely and reliable reporting.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to coordinate travel arrangements and deliver a seamless customer experience.
Provide professional, efficient, and customer-focused support throughout the travel planning and booking process.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and competencies:
Diploma in Tourism Management, Tours and Travel, or an equivalent qualification.
A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of practical experience using the Galileo/Travelport Global Distribution System (GDS). Proficiency in Galileo is mandatory, as it is the organization's primary ticketing platform.
Strong customer service skills with a professional, approachable, and client-oriented attitude.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships.
Excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
