About this role
Key Responsibilities
Transform raw video footage into polished, broadcast-quality content for television and digital media platforms.
Collaborate with producers, directors and other members of the production team to deliver content that aligns with creative objectives.
Review, trim and arrange video clips to create engaging narratives with smooth pacing and visual flow.
Enhance productions by integrating music, voice recordings, graphics, captions, transitions, visual effects and other supporting elements where required.
Prepare draft edits for feedback, incorporate revisions and deliver final approved versions within project timelines.
Maintain a well-organised archive of video projects, raw footage and completed productions to support efficient retrieval and future use.
Ensure all edited content reflects Family Media's visual identity, editorial standards and production quality expectations.
Stay informed about emerging editing techniques, software updates and industry developments to continually improve content quality.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Video Editing, Media Studies or a related discipline.
A minimum of two years of professional experience in video editing.
Proven hands-on experience using Final Cut Pro is essential.
Solid understanding of editing principles, visual storytelling, scene sequencing and pacing.
Strong creative ability with an eye for detail and compelling content development.
Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
